The established death metal band CORTEGE, active since 1996 with a brief pause from 2005 to 2009, is about to redefine the genre's landscape with the release of their upcoming album 'Vandari'. The group has earned acclaim for two full-length albums, 'Anachoreo' (2012) and 'Touching the Void' (2016), along with the compilation 'Where the Watchers Are Imprisoned Part I' (2017). The latter comprises the demos 'Awareness' (2000) and 'Introduction to the Slaughter of Your Gods' (2001).
After dedicating nearly two years to intense creative work at the MAQ Records studio, CORTEGE has readied material for 'Vandari', their new album rooted firmly in the traditional, classic death metal style. The sonic masterpiece has been recorded, mixed, and mastered at MAQ Records in collaboration with Jarosław Toifl, renowned for his work with bands like Crystal Viper, Darzamat, and Infernal War. The visually striking album artwork was crafted by the band's drummer, Kamil Szuszkiewicz.
Recently, in collaboration with Death Metal Promotion, CORTEGE unveiled the music video for the song 'Purgatory'.
The Silesian band initiated a partnership with the underground label ADG Records following a breach of publishing contract by Norwegian label Whispering Voice Records. ADG Records boasts a portfolio of several notable releases, including Denomination, Hexenaltar, and Wolfpath. The release date for 'Vandari' has been set for June 22nd, 2023.
