Brazil's own DISTRAUGHT has just unveiled a live performance video of their track 'Crucified Life'. The performance was captured at the 10th edition of the RS Metal Festival at the Opinião Bar in Porto Alegre, back in 2022.
DISTRAUGHT burst onto the scene in February 1990. After releasing two demo tapes and sharing a split 'Ultimate Encore' with two São Paulo bands, they launched their first independent album 'Nervous System' in 1998. Their subsequent album, 'Infinite Abyssal', was released under the significant English record label, Encore Records, in 2001.
Since then, DISTRAUGHT has consistently released albums that have captured the attention of specialized media. Their resume boasts performances alongside heavyweights like Megadeth, Vader, Tankard, Destruction, among others, expanding their influence in the national and Latin scenes and establishing themselves as a top name in Southern Brazil's metal scene.
The video of 'Crucified Life' showcases DISTRAUGHT'S energy, heaviness, empathy, and audience engagement, all characteristic of their 32-year career.
The band shared a heartfelt message on their official Facebook page:
"Hail Rockers! To celebrate Rock Day, here is the first live recording of our most recent single 'CRUCIFIED LIFE'. Our deepest thanks go to all fans who have always supported the band and to everyone who embraces the Rock'n'roll lifestyle."
Today's DISTRAUGHT lineup consists of André Meyer on vocals, Everton Acosta on guitar, Ricardo Silveira on guitar, Alan Holz on bass, and Tiago Caurio on drums.
