Battle-hardened heavy metal veterans GRAND MAGUS have released a lyric video for their new single 'The Wheel Of Pain', the second track unveiled from their forthcoming tenth studio album 'Sunraven'. The album, set for release on October 18th through Nuclear Blast Records, is a conceptual work inspired by the legendary poem Beowulf, exploring themes of heroes, monsters, honor, bravery, and epic struggles.
Vocalist and guitarist JB explains that 'Sunraven' is his own interpretation of the Beowulf saga, with songs written from the perspectives of both Beowulf and his monstrous adversary Grendel. This thematic approach guided the lyrical process, reflecting on timeless human experiences such as life, death, glory, and overcoming adversity.
