The third LP from San Antonio’s black/death metal band HAUNTER, "Discarnate Ails", is here now - and while it might offer nocturnal visions of the dream state, here in this realm, we can think of no better way to fully awaken and greet the morning than by streaming the entire wondrous thing.
It’s easy to get lost in the myriad of influences that Haunter employs, as “Discarnate Ails” is certainly one of the more complex offerings in regards to overall atmosphere and tonality that I’ve heard in a while. But, regardless of how much you focus on any particular element or nuance within the record, you’re bound to become completely consumed by its overwhelming presence.
