There's no better way to fill out death/doom month than with a fresh batch of new MORTEMIA music. The band wrapped up the writing process for their upcoming album today, so they decided to share another preview by presenting one of the album's tracks titled 'Veiled in Despair'.

Under the title "Veiled In Despair" MORTEMIA is now releasing its ninth song. With the Finnish soprano Heidi Parviainen (DARK SARAH, ex-AMBERIAN DAWN), a prominent guest singer could once again be brought to the microphone. The six-minute, melancholic, and doom-like “Veiled In Despair” is already online.

Eleven years ago, Norwegian jack-of-all-trades MORTEN VELAND, who previously founded TRISTANIA and SIRENIA, launched his solo project MORTEMIA. In 2010 the only album "Misere Mortem" was released before MORTEMIA fell silent. Since 2021, the singer, guitarist, songwriter and producer has been reviving his project, in which a series of songs with various renowned guest singers are presented one after the other on a conceptual basis. The guest list to date has included Marcela Bovio (STREAM OF PASSION), Liv Kristine (ex-LEAVES EYES), Brittney Slayes (UNLEASH THE ARCHERS) and Melissa Bonny (AD INFINITUM). The individual pieces are brought together on the complete work "The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions" and are available in digital form.
