ROCKSTADT EXTREME FEST stays in Brasov with new Ghimbav location

ROCKSTADT EXTREME FEST is staying in Brasov County but moving to a new, larger home in Ghimbav for its 2026 edition. After years of growth from a modest festival in Rasnov, the event has outgrown its previous site, prompting the organizers to find a venue that can meet the demands of thousands of visitors and over 100 bands each year.
Ghimbav, located just 5 kilometers from Brasov and 10 kilometers from Rasnov, offers twice the space of the old Rasnov site. This expansion allows for larger productions, improved stages, enhanced festival design, more shade, and better overall amenities. Camping will no longer be a struggle, accommodations will be more accessible, and the Ghimbav train station is conveniently located right across the street.
The festival dates will shift to July 27-31, running Monday through Friday. While this means skipping the weekend, the new schedule enables ROCKSTADT EXTREME FEST to present its biggest lineup ever. The move also eases touring logistics for bands, allowing them to bring full productions and coordinate better with other major European events. Already confirmed are legendary acts HELLOWEEN and ACCEPT, performing special anniversary shows.
With many tourist attractions nearby, attendees can enjoy a full Romanian experience, using the weekend to explore Transylvania or rest after the festival.
Despite the move, ROCKSTADT EXTREME FEST remains true to its roots as a festival made by fans for fans. The decision was carefully considered to ensure the best possible experience, addressing past challenges while embracing future growth.
