SAOR are proud to announce the release of their new album, “Origins”

SAOR returns with a new album that explores the origins of Celtic music. With violin, bagpipes, and flutes as focal points, "Origins" reaches new levels for atmospheric black metal without sacrificing production quality.

To mark this announcement, the band has also released a music video for the title track "Origins":

Season of Mist commented on the path Andy has taken with Saor so far, and what to expect with "Origins":

SAOR means free, without obligations, unconstrained. All of these characteristics are intrinsic to the music of SAOR, the musical entity spearheaded by sole member Andy Marshall. As a lone wanderer proudly shouting the tales and myths of his people, his culture and his region from the tops of misty Caledonian mountains for the wind to carry, Andy has carved a solitary, yet strikingly inspiring path with SAOR.

Now, the award-winning Caledonian metal pioneer has returned with 'Origins,' the mastermind's fifth full-length album that delivers his profoundly atmospheric hybrid of black and folk metal that takes the listener deep into the Scottish heartlands.

"Origins" will feature the following tracklist:

1. Call of the Carnyx

2. Fallen

3. The Ancient Ones

4. Aurora

5. Beyond the Wall

6. Origins

The artwork was designed by French drummer and artist Anaïs Mulgrew:
