NWOBHM heroes TRESSPASS return with a visually stunning music video for their electrifying new song 'Daggers Drawn' from their forthcoming fourth studio album, "Wolf at the Door." The album, set to be released on From The Vaults later this week, on May 26th, marks a triumphant milestone for the UK collective. In celebration of the album's impending release, TRESSPASS has exclusively premiered the captivating 'Daggers Drawn' music video at Arrow Lords Of Metal.
Guitarist, vocalist, and founding member Mark Sutcliffe shares his inspiration behind 'Daggers Drawn', highlighting the influence of Thin Lizzy in crafting the song's sonic tapestry. The track delves into the depths of man's inhumanity to man and the tragic perpetuation of hate and intolerance from one generation to the next.
Formed in 1979 in Sudbury, Suffolk, TRESSPASS quickly gained recognition and critical acclaim as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement in the early 80s. Despite releasing only a handful of singles and the cult EP "Bright Lights" in 1981, their impact has been everlasting. Songs like "One Of These Days," "Stormchild," and "Bright Lights" have left an indelible mark on the genre.
In the 90s, TRESSPASS made a triumphant return, finally delivering their highly anticipated debut album, "Head," in 1993. This release played a vital role in keeping the flame of NWOBHM burning during a challenging era for traditional metal. The self-titled second album arrived in 2015, followed by "Footprints In The Rock" just three years later. The overwhelming response confirmed that TRESSPASS music continues to resonate with rock and metal fans worldwide. While preparing for their upcoming full-length release, TRESSPASS is diligently rehearsing a dynamic set of classics old and new, in preparation for UK and European shows scheduled for next year.
"Wolf at the Door" will be available on limited edition LP (black vinyl, restricted to 500 copies), CD, and digital formats via From The Vaults on May 26th, 2023. Brace yourself for the unwavering metal prowess of TRESSPASS as they etch their name once again in the annals of heavy music.
