UNBLESSED DIVINE, a death metal act formed by veteran musicians from prominent bands such as Malevolent Creation, Sinister, and Decapitated, has launched their fierce single and music video 'I Feed'. The band, which straddles both Poland and South Africa, is generating a lot of buzz in anticipation of their debut album, 'Portal To Darkness', due for release on August 18, 2023, via Massacre Records.
After successfully revealing their initial album single, the explosive 'Book Of Lies', UNBLESSED DIVINE have now showcased 'I Feed', a brutal composition that harks back to the glory days of 90s death metal but with a modern and unnerving addition of electronic elements.
The band had some insightful comments on the track:
"This song explores the act of releasing oneself from societal and religious constraints, seeking honest self-expression instead of blindly adhering to imposed doctrines. It's about feeding on the dark, unexplored facets of existence and finding fulfillment therein."
Portal To Darkness track listing:
Book Of Lies
Replace The Light
The Dark Supremacy
Blacken The Soul
God Of Darkness
The Exalted One
I Feed
The Glorious Flames
UNBLESSED DIVINE Album Line-Up:
Lee Wollenschlaeger (ex – Malevolent Creation) – Vocals and Guitar
Michal Grall (ex – Sinister) – Guitar, keyboards, fx, clean vocals
Michał Łysejko (Dieth, ex – Decapitated) – session drums
UNBLESSED DIVINE brings an innovative twist to the death metal genre by introducing electronic elements in a way never witnessed before in extreme metal. Their upcoming album promises a unique blend of darkness and innovation with eight memorable tracks that include both rapid, relentless songs and more grandiose compositions.
However, do not be deceived. 'Portal To Darkness' is an embodiment of unadulterated, bestial death metal, tinged with an eerie apocalyptic vibe. The album was expertly mixed and mastered by Tomasz "Zed" Zalewski at Zed Studio, with the band creating the haunting cover artwork.
