Brazilian melodic death metal band VENOMOUS is back and marked the return presenting a new version of the Rolling Stones classic, “Paint it Black”. Mayara Puertas, lead singer of Torture Squad, participated in this tribute to the British band.

“Paint it Black” is a song by the Rolling Stones from their 1966 studio album, “Aftermath”. The lyrics for the song were written primarily by Mick Jagger and drawn from a popular expression used in the 1960s. According to Jagger, he got the idea for the title from an advert for funeral parlors that read, ‘At last he’s living out in the open/Nothing but a painted black man.

Mixing aggressiveness, fury and a lot of rhythm, the band’s music is a mix of styles like death and thrash metal while tributing Brazilian regional rhythms. With its roots back in the 80s, Venomous sound is characterized by extreme intensity, violence without falling into grotesqueness, giving all their shows an explosive charge.
